1mm Titanium Sheet for Medical and Industrial Applications - Premium Grade Pure Titanium with Superior Corrosion Resistance
Baoji INT Medical Titanium Co., Ltd. manufactures precision 1mm titanium sheet products engineered for critical medical and industrial applications. Founded in 2003, we bring over 30 years of titanium knowledge to the table. We provide medical-grade titanium products that are certified to ISO9001:2015, ISO13485:2016 and EU CE standards. Excellent biocompatibility, outstanding corrosion resistance and very good strength-to-weight ratio make the product suitable for surgical implants, aircraft components and chemical processing equipment. With high precision processing capacity and tight quality control system, we ensure dimensional accuracy within ±0.05mm tolerance and surface finish quality that meets international medical device specifications.
Material Specifications and Technical Properties
We supply our product in commercially pure grades and in titanium alloys, designed to satisfy particular performance criteria. Grade 1 has the highest corrosion resistance and formability, making it suitable for difficult forming procedures. Grade 2 titanium is a good compromise between strength and ductility for structural applications.

Titanium is lightweight and can save 40-50% of the total weight of the system compared to stainless steel equivalents. This weight advantage is even more important in medical implants where patient comfort is a key issue and in aircraft applications where the fuel economy is directly related to the mass of the components.

Superior Corrosion Resistance and Durability
When oxygen is present, titanium spontaneously produces a protective oxide film, which acts as a corrosion-resistant barrier. This oxide oxide film develops again immediately if scratched , providing constant protection against chemicals , acids , seawater and severe temperatures .
Your titanium sheets will retain their structural integrity in tough chemical processing conditions, maritime applications and surgical implantation sites. Unlike conventional metals that require protective coatings, our sheets will provide you decades of maintenance-free service. This corrosion resistance is very useful in desalination plants, flue gas desulphurisation plants and reaction vessels exposed to continual chemical attack.
Pure titanium is more resistant to rusting than titanium alloys because in pure titanium there are no additional metals to undermine the protective barrier. Our manufacturing techniques ensure that Grade 1 and Grade 2 goods have a material purity of >99.6%.
Medical-Grade Biocompatibility and Safety
The most important feature for surgical applications is biocompatibility. The good tissue acceptance with low inflammatory response makes our product the material of choice for orthopaedic implants, dental prosthesis and surgical instruments.
Because it’s non-magnetic, the material allows patients with titanium implants to safely have MRIs. Its minimal heat conductivity means that there is no pain from temperature when it is worn. The intrinsic antibacterial properties lower the risk of infection in surgical settings.
Clinical investigations have proven that titanium can be osseointegrated . This means that the bone tissue will naturally adhere to the titanium surface without the need for adhesives or cement . This biological integration results in robust, durable fixation of the implant, which is necessary for joint replacements and bone plates.
Exceptional Formability and Processing Characteristics
Titanium is famous for its challenging manufacture yet current cold-bending methods allow accurate shaping of thin sheets. Servo motor driven electric benders allow precise control of bending parameters, and complicated shapes can be produced without the need for hot working.
We can bend our 1mm titanium sheet into complex shapes for exhaust systems, halo safety structures and bespoke medical parts. The material is excellently weldable by TIG or plasma welding techniques, giving joints with strength equal to the base material.
The best formability of the commercially pure grades is achieved by grade 1 titanium, which can be used for deep drawing and tight bend radii. Grade 2 is a good compromise for applications that require both formability and strength. With our perfectly controlled sheet goods you have far more flexibility in your design.
Industrial Applications Across Multiple Sectors
Our sheets are used in the chemical processing industries for heat exchangers, pressure tanks and pipe systems where harsh chemicals would quickly destroy traditional materials. In automotive, titanium sheets are used for lightweighting of chassis components and high-performance exhaust systems where weight savings enhance efficiency.
Our products are chosen by aerospace manufacturers for airframe components, engine parts and hollow shafts that require outstanding fatigue resistance. Titanium’s resistance to saltwater has benefits for the maritime sector in the form of desalination facilities, ship components and offshore platforms.
Electronics makers use thin titanium sheets for accurate housings and electromagnetic shielding. Civil uses include sporting equipment, architectural cladding and high-end consumer products where aesthetics and durability meet.

FAQ
Q: What thickness tolerance can you get on 1mm sheets?
A: Our goods are manufactured with a precision rolling technique and quality control method to maintain a ±0.05mm thickness tolerance. Tighter tolerances can be supplied on request for essential applications.
Q: Can titanium sheets be welded to other materials?
A: Titanium is best welded to itself or to other titanium alloys . Welding to dissimilar metals requires particular transition joints or mechanical fastening methods to prevent galvanic corrosion.
Q: How does titanium perform in high-temperature environments?
A: Grade 2 titanium can be used at continuous service temperatures of 800°F with intermittent exposures up to 1000°F without loss of structural integrity. Oxidation begins above these temperatures and so protective atmospheres are required.
Q: What surface finishes are available?
A: We offer mill finish, pickled surface, polished finish, and anodized colors. Medical applications typically specify pickled or electropolished surfaces for optimal biocompatibility and cleanliness.
Q: Is thin titanium bulletproof?
A: While 1mm sheets resist penetration from handguns and hunting rifles, they cannot withstand military-grade armor-piercing rounds. Multiple hits from high-caliber weapons will eventually penetrate thin titanium.
